Union Cemetery Spring Bazaar

May 13, 2023 @ 10:00 am 2:00 pm

Do you and your friends enjoy festivals, food trucks, artisans, or walking around on a lovely spring day? Does a self guided tour of the final resting places of many of Kansas City’s founders sound fascinating? Maybe you want to put on your fanciest goth ensemble and take some spooky pictures- I know I do! Perhaps you’ve always wanted to have a tarot reading in a cemetery? Kansas City’s oldest cemetery… Dreams do come true and the Union Cemetery Spring Bazaar is the event for you.

“Founded in 1857, Union Cemetery is the oldest public cemetery in Kansas City, MO, and is the final resting place of over 55,000 souls.” It’s also conveniently “located just south of Crown Center and southeast of the National WWI Museum & Memorial in the historic Union Hill neighborhood. Strollers, dogs, skateboards, bikes, joggers & walkers are all welcome!” (www.uchskc.org)

I’m pumped to read at the Union Cemetery Spring Bazaar again because reading tarot in a cemetery is rad. Union Cemetery is an absolute blast. I saw an owl fly out of a tree! Anyway- what a fun way to spend your Saturday afternoon! There will even be a scavenger hunt for kids.

This event is totally free to the public, but please consider donating to Union Cemetery so they can keep the grounds gorgeous. I highly recommend scheduling a guided tour! All donations are tax deductible!

Forget macaroni art and breakfast in bed. Take mom to where she really wants to go for Mother’s Day weekend- To get a tarot reading from me at Union Cemetery’s Spring Bazaar!
